Ryan McGuinness has created a great website called GAA Pitch Finder with an accompanying dataset. His blog is fantastic and goes through geographic facts such as the highest elevation of pitches and each county’s GAA pitch with the largest nearest neighbour distance.

The one fact I wanted to know was, what’s the farthest you can be from a GAA Pitch on the island? I realise the answer is a point on the west side of Achill and that it’s an island but it is permanently connected by the Michael Davitt Bridge so it’s still appropriate to count it.
